Overview
59 is a multi award-winning studio based in London and New York, part of Journey. We conceive, design and deliver ambitious, large-scale story-driven artworks, stage shows and immersive experiences for live audiences, grounded by an interdisciplinary process incorporating architecture, animation, video, light, sound, music and technical design. This role is an Assistant Producer supporting busy project teams across a range of fundamental tasks to enable the teams’ work to be more effective and realise ambitious design projects.

Key Details
- Contract type: Permanent
- Salary: £30,000-£40,000 dependent on experience
- Reports to: Head of Producing
- Place of work: 59’s Studio, London with hybrid working enabled
- Key relationships: Project Directors, Design Directors, Creative Directors, Producers, Business Development leads, Head of Studio, Communications and across all areas of the business
Key Responsibilities
- Producing & Project Management: Scheduling project meetings, diary management, taking minutes; travel and accommodation booking; processing visas; creating and distributing schedules and itineraries; assisting Producers on projects including on-site during tech periods; updating project databases and software; supporting business development with tenders and pitches; coordinating availability and contract information for freelancers; providing NDAs and contracts to freelancers and suppliers; assisting with third-party licensing; organising shoots for content creation and behind-the-scenes filming; project-related research; ensuring Sustainability and Universal Design considerations on projects.
- Communications: Uploading and broadcasting project information across 59 and Journey websites and social media; assisting with final project documentation with the Content & Communications Manager.
- General: Deputising for Producers & Project Managers; basic catering for meetings; acting as health & safety and Fire Warden representative; undertaking other work as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Essential Skills: Approximately 1 year experience as an administrator, project manager or producer; ability to interact with a wide range of people; experience in fast-paced environments and meeting tight deadlines; understanding of creative processes and specialist craft; commitment to high standards; willingness to travel globally; experience with budgeting and financial management; flexibility to work outside regular hours; commitment to representation and inclusion.
- Desirable Skills: Experience in project sales and client negotiations; language skills; existing network with commissioning organisations; experience contributing to Sustainability and Universal Design and audience access initiatives.
