Where will you be working ?
We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.
This role will be within our Water and Wastewater Capital project delivery team. Our team delivers large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment.
As our Commercial Administrator, you’ll be working on our United Utilities Water AMP8 contracts in Preston.

What will you be doing?
You'll be providing essential support to the Senior Commercial team in a wide range of activities including:
Cost Management - assisting with cost estimations, tracking expenditures and ensuring alignment with project budgets. Assist with the production and presentation of weekly and monthly CVR’s / profit and loss accounts.
Contract Administration - ensuring compliance with contract terms, managing variations and assisting with the preparation of payment applications, submission of final accounts and cash receipt management.
Subcontractor Management - liaising with subcontractors, managing their performance and processing payments.
Client and Stakeholder communication - maintaining clear communication with clients, project managers and other project stakeholders
What You’ll Bring
- Previous experience within Quantity Surveying preferably within Utilities contracting.
- Basic understanding and previous experience of NEC contracts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Full driving licence
