Overview

A to E Training and Solutions is the largest provider of resuscitation training in the UK, delivering services to NHS Trusts, Independent / Private Healthcare Providers, Prison Services, and Higher Education Institutions. We are recruiting Assistant Resuscitation Officers across the UK to support resuscitation training and services. Working as part of a regional team, you will partner with clients to deliver high-quality training, clinical leadership, and governance services.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable clinical experience in an acute / critical care setting. You may be a Registered Nurse, ODP, or Paramedic with experience of delivering resuscitation / clinical skills training. Regional travel is a key component of the role and a current driving licence is required. Flexibility is encouraged from both the business and staff to balance travel across the team.

Main duties

  • Participate in delivering training programmes in critical care, resuscitation practice and first aid.
  • With support and supervision, act as a clinical member of the resuscitation team at contracted sites where agreed, providing clinical leadership.
  • With support and supervision, provide professional advice on resuscitation attempts, policy development, training, clinical governance issues, resuscitation techniques and equipment related to resuscitation.
  • Maintain and develop links locally and nationally to promote the company’s profile and the delivery of resuscitation care and training.

Job Details

Band 6 (Agenda for Change). Salary depending on experience. This role is eligible to participate in the company bonus scheme. Permanent contract. Working patterns: full-time, part-time, flexible working, annualised hours.

Location

London and Dudley area sites, with regional travel as required.

Responsibilities (Additional)

  • Design and deliver high-quality training programmes in critical care, resuscitation practice and first aid.
  • Act as a clinical member of the resuscitation team at contracted sites, providing expertise and clinical leadership to support evidence-based care and positive outcomes.
  • Support policy development, training, clinical governance, resuscitation techniques and equipment related to resuscitation.
  • Support projects and/or research activities undertaken by the company.
  • Maintain and develop clinical skills and instructor status; be accountable for practice and continuous professional development.

Experience

Essential

  • Relevant experience in critical care/clinical emergencies
  • Experience delivering skills training
  • Experience facilitating with multi-professional groups

Desirable

  • Recent experience at Band 6

  • Clinical qualification and instructor status in one or more RCUK/ALSG/ERC National Course discipline (ALS, NLS, EPALS, APLS)
