Assistant Town Planner - Exeter
Are you a passionate and driven Assistant Town Planner with around one year of experience? A leading town planning consultancy is seeking a motivated professional to join their dynamic team. The Role:
As an Assistant Town Planner, you will support senior planners in delivering high-quality planning advice and services to a range of clients. You will be involved in preparing planning applications, conducting research, liaising with stakeholders, and assisting with policy analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the preparation and submission of planning applications and appeals
- Conducting site appraisals, policy research, and impact assessments
- Engaging with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders
- Supporting senior planners on complex projects across various sectors
- Keeping up to date with planning legislation and policy changes
About You:
- A degree in Town Planning or a related discipline (RTPI accredited preferred)
- Around one year of experience in a town planning role (private or public sector)
- Strong research, analytical, and report-writing skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach to problem-solving
- Knowledge of UK planning policies and procedures
