Assistant Vice President, Business Management and Planning Join MUFG as a key member of the Operations Business Management team. The role focuses on coordinating management information, administering processes, and driving accounting initiatives that sustain operational excellence. Support the smooth running of EMEA Operations. Coordinate policy and procedure updates, including Operations Business Continuity and internal documentation. Design and manage the Operations Balanced Scorecard (BSC) aligned to local, regional and global targets. Create high‑level presentation materials for senior executives, town halls and wider programmes. Lead projects that support and represent EMEA Operations across programmes. Analyse operational processes and identify improvement opportunities. Implement process improvements to boost productivity and reduce costs. Assist in cost‑control management, including expense reporting and cost challenge. Lead the enhancement and rollout of the Skills Matrix. Maintain and update Operations intranet pages.
Management Information
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify key performance and risk indicators. Develop, design and maintain PowerBI dashboards and reports. Analyse complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns and insights. Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all reporting solutions.
Work Experience
Preferred experience within a regulated, organisationally complex environment, ideally financial services.
Skills and Experience
Strong understanding of and passion for culture and continuous improvement. Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to engage senior stakeholders across EMEA, international locations and Tokyo. Proactive self‑starter, quick learner, independent, and willing to participate in all necessary activities. Calm, agile individual capable of managing large workloads and tight deadlines. Results‑driven, accountable, organised, with an eye for high‑quality outputs. Discretion in handling sensitive matters. Minimum 2–3 years of data analysis experience, focusing on PowerBI. Excellent analytical, critical‑thinking and problem‑solving skills. Strong communication skills for presenting data‑driven insights to non‑technical stakeholders.
Personal Requirements
Strong verbal and written communication, analytical and numerical skills. Proficiency in Outlook, PowerPoint and MS Word. Problem‑solving and decision‑making skills. Responsible for MUFG Bank and MUFG Securities EMEA plc, performing duties on an entity‑neutral basis without favoritism. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain legal entity integrity. Resolve potential conflicts between MUFG Bank and MUFG Securities EMEA plc, escalating to management when needed.
