Assistant Vice President, Governance, Advisory and Oversight Quality Assurance Team (GFCD)Join Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) as the Assistant Vice President for the EMEA Global Financial Crimes Division Quality Assurance (QA) team. In this role you will advise and oversee QA functions across key financial crime controls (AML, ABC, KYC, Sanctions) and contribute to the execution of the financial crime compliance framework in a business‑as‑usual environment.OverviewMUFG is one of the world’s leading financial groups with a global network of more than 2,300 offices. The EMEA GFCD QA team is located in the Financial Crimes Office for EMEA (FCOE) in London and reports to the Global Financial Crimes Compliance (FCC) Program Management department.Key ResponsibilitiesContribute to the delivery of QA output and meet target dates and deadlines.Maintain the quality, completeness and accuracy of QA work.Escalate identified risks or issues to the EMEA GFCD QA GAO Lead in a timely manner.Coordinate Regional Issues Management plans to monitor and track the resolution of QA identified issues and action plans.Complete mandatory training on time and assist the GAO Lead to ensure all team members complete training within deadlines.Achieve annual personal objectives and support the GAO Lead in achieving these objectives.Maintain technical and non‑technical personal development to meet the demands of the role.Governance, Advisory and Oversight ActivitiesSupport the GAO Lead with drafting and distributing Regional QA Working Group reports and meeting notes.Assist with the implementation of regional minimum standards for FCC QA and obtain approvals.Update RFCO stakeholders on risks or issues in a timely manner.Provide FCC QA advice to QA Managers in Local Financial Crimes Functions and First Line of Defence.Communicate approved global and regional minimum standards for FCC QA to stakeholders and QA Managers.Work Experience and QualificationsAt least 5 years of experience within the financial crimes area of a global bank, consulting firm or regulatory agency.Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Quality Control/Assurance, Compliance Testing/Monitoring or Audit Function.Personal RequirementsExcellent communication skills.Results‑driven with a strong sense of accountability.Proactive, motivated approach with the ability to operate with urgency.Strong decision‑making skills and sound judgment.Structured and logical approach to work with strong problem‑solving skills.Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.EEO StatementMUFG is committed to diversity and inclusion.
