Our Reactor Operations and Decommissioning (RO&D) team is a diverse group of scientists and engineers, ready to meet upcoming challenges in the UK and beyond.

Due to growth, we are recruiting scientists and engineers as Assistant Waste and Decommissioning Consultants across the UK, including Bristol, Epsom, Manchester, Sheffield, Derby, and Glasgow. Hybrid working arrangements are welcomed.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with colleagues and clients on radioactive waste and decommissioning projects.
• Assist in bids and proposals, providing technical content, diagrams, and case studies.
• Maintain strong client relationships and focus on customer satisfaction.
• Contribute to project delivery within scope, time, and budget.
• Develop innovative solutions using approaches like radiological dose modeling, automation, and decommissioning technologies.

Requirements:

• A degree in Science (Chemistry, Physics, Environmental) or Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Process), or relevant technical experience.
• Experience in consultancy or regulated industries.
• Strong technical writing skills.
• Innovative mindset and questioning attitude.
• Flexible, willing to travel to client sites.
• Effective communication skills.
• Knowledge of nuclear sector and decommissioning.
• On-site nuclear or industrial experience.
• Understanding of radiation principles and waste management practices.

Desirable:

• Knowledge of nuclear decommissioning.
