Associate Civil / Structural Design Engineer
We are recruiting for an Associate Civil / Structural Design Engineer to lead an experienced and dynamic team. The role will be linked to our Newark office in the East Midlands but will allow for agile and hybrid working. This is an excellent opportunity to further your career by delivering quality engineering solutions and designs for commercial development projects that exceed client expectations.
About The Design Business:
RPS Design Division delivers projects across sectors such as residential, logistics, retail, aviation, healthcare, education, manufacturing, data centres, energy, and more. We focus on balancing form and function while considering sustainability, materiality, cost, and constructability. Digitalisation is central to our delivery, enabling clients to experience designs from project concept through detailed drawings, supported by expertise across industries and disciplines.
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing project team resources, ensuring technical quality and delivery
- Delivering high-quality civil engineering solutions for commercial and logistics projects
- Providing expert technical advice and support
- Developing client relationships to grow the Newark business
- Visiting sites and attending meetings
- Participating in external design meetings with clients and team members
- Collaborating with internal support functions like HR, Finance, Marketing/Bid
- Performing additional duties as required
Who we’re looking for:
The ideal candidate is likely a chartered engineer with strong leadership skills and extensive civil engineering technical knowledge. Previous experience in commercial, logistics, and residential sectors is preferred, along with proficiency in Civils 3D and AutoCAD.
