Development and Progression at KAE
Your growth matters to us. As an Associate Consultant, you’ll receive structured training, mentoring and on the job coaching across research methods, data analysis, and consulting fundamentals. Progression is based on your development and readiness — not a fixed timeline — so as you demonstrate new skills, you’ll step up with confidence and support.
Training you’ll receive includes:
- Foundations in survey design, data handling and data visualisation
- Practical statistical analysis and evidence led storytelling to build clear, impactful reports and presentations
- Interviewing techniques and qualitative research basics
- Consulting skills: problem framing, hypothesis led thinking, and client communication
About the Role
As an Associate Consultant (Analytics), you’ll help deliver market research and strategic insights using a blend of quantitative and qualitative approaches. You will:
- Gather and analyse data to uncover trends and answer client questions, with training to guide your approach.
- Learn and apply analytical techniques to turn data into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Support research delivery—from drafting surveys and discussion guides to conducting interviews and quality checking data.
- Communicate insights clearly, creating compelling slides, visuals, and short narratives that help clients make decisions.
- Collaborate in project teams, building strong relationships with colleagues and clients and delivering high quality work on time.
- Contribute to internal initiatives that strengthen KAE’s brand, culture, and business performance.
Who We’re Looking For
To be considered for this role, you must have either:
- A Master’s degree in a STEM discipline (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Economics).
- or
- A minimum Bachelor’s degree (2.1 or above) plus ~1 year of work experience post graduation or internship/sandwich year experience — ideally in a research or analytical capacity.
You should also bring:
- Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills; curiosity to ask smart questions and a desire to learn new methods.
- Familiarity with Excel and basic data visualisation, along with an interest in statistical analysis and learning new data tools.
- Excellent communication in English (written and verbal), confident engaging with stakeholders at different levels.
- Experience using PowerPoint for creating presentations and visualising data through charts and graphics.
- Organisation, proactivity, and a collaborative mindset; comfortable in fast paced teams.
- Alignment with KAE values: work together, care and share, stay curious, choose courage.
- Willingness to commute and work at our London (Farringdon) office at least 3 days per week.
