At HKA, we are growing our global Economics and Commercial Damages practice, we are looking for bright, ambitious Economists to join us in London, providing colleagues with opportunities to work on both local but also international disputes and collaborate with different members of our firm across our International region and beyond.

Your role

As a Consultant you will play a key role in supporting our expert witnesses on some of the most significant arbitration and litigation cases worldwide. This is a unique opportunity to apply your economic skills in a high‑stakes, intellectually stimulating setting, working alongside industry‑recognised experts and multidisciplinary teams.

What you will be doing

  • Conduct economic and financial analysis to support expert reports in litigation and arbitration.
  • Build and review economic models to assess loss of profits, market dynamics, and regulatory impacts.
  • Research and interpret economic data, industry trends, and policy developments relevant to disputes.
  • Draft clear, concise sections of expert reports and supporting documentation.
  • Collaborate with experts, lawyers, and clients to understand case strategy and deliver robust, defensible analysis.
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring high‑quality outputs under pressure.
  • Support business development activities, including proposals and thought leadership.

What we are looking for

We welcome applications from both newly qualified Economists as well as those with some practical experience.

  • Analytical and detail‑oriented, with a passion for solving complex problems.
  • Clear communicators, both written and verbal.
  • Collaborative team player who thrives in a fast‑paced, expert‑led environment.
  • Strategic thinkers, comfortable navigating ambiguity.
  • Driven and curious, with a postgraduate degree in Economics.

Experience supporting expert witnesses is a plus — but not essential. We’ll help you build that expertise.
