A forward-thinking civil and structural engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Associate Director to lead its Civil Engineering team. This is a strategic leadership role for someone passionate about sustainable infrastructure, team development, and delivering high-impact, design-led projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a high-performing civil engineering team
• Oversee multiple complex infrastructure, drainage, and highways projects
• Drive technical excellence and project profitability
• Support business development and client engagement
• Champion low-carbon, innovative design solutions
• Contribute to company-wide strategy and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Chartered Civil Engineer (MICE)
• 5+ years post-chartered experience
• Proven track record in technical delivery and project leadership
• Strong commercial awareness and financial management skills
• Previous team management and mentoring experience
• Comfortable operating at a strategic level and engaging with senior stakeholders
