Are you a Chartered Building Surveyor with expertise in affordable housing and a passion for driving standards, strategy, and service delivery?

We are working with a respected consultancy (client confidential) seeking an Associate Director or Director-level leader with a building surveying background and a proven track record in social housing asset management. This is a key strategic appointment based in London, offering hybrid working and clear progression opportunities.

About the Role

You will lead the delivery of high-level strategic advice across asset management, compliance, and housing consultancy. Responsibilities include overseeing complex stock condition survey programmes, advising on investment strategies, and delivering strategic asset management plans.

You will also be responsible for growing and leading a team of consultants, developing a scalable, high-impact service line within a supportive and ambitious environment.

What We’re Looking For

Candidates should be operating at Associate Director/Director level or be high-performing Senior Building Surveyors or Consultants with leadership potential. Ideally, candidates will:

• Hold Chartered status (MRICS or FRICS)
• Have a core background in building surveying, especially within residential and social housing sectors
• Be familiar with housing compliance and regulatory frameworks
• Have a successful track record working with housing associations, local authorities, or within a consultancy supporting registered providers
• Prove ability to lead projects, manage stakeholders, and deliver insightful reports
• Possess a collaborative leadership style and a commercial mindset focused on growth, quality, and innovation
