Overview

Associate Director, Experiential Learning role at London Business School on a fixed-term basis, reporting to the Executive Director of Experiential Learning. The postholder will lead the Experiential Learning team to provide quality applied and integrative learning experiences to students through strategic planning, data-led decisions, sound financial management and proactive risk management, contributing to the growth and development of the experiential portfolio. This is a fixed-term contract ending in September 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of strategy for the overall Experiential Learning team, ensuring plans align with wider departmental strategy and School goals, including preparing written reports for Elective Planning Group and Security, Ethics and Risk Committee.
  • Develop annual operational plans, collaborating with key stakeholders across Degree Education, oversee management of operational plans across the Experiential Learning team, and enable successful implementation by prioritising and aligning planned activities.
  • Lead planning and delivery of selected Global programmes, coordinating resources to meet learning outcomes within budget and to quality standards.
  • Lead external benchmarking, review and evaluation of Global Experiences and London Consulting Projects to keep learning delivery at the forefront of business education, including liaising with Peer Schools.
  • Leverage relationships with faculty, alumni, external clients, Careers and Programme Offices to support effective delivery of London Consulting Projects and ensure outcomes meet student and client expectations.
  • Oversee the management of London Consulting Projects team and Experiential Learning Manager.
  • Role model the School's culture and values, set behavioural expectations, and support employee wellbeing. Ensure team members comply with all relevant policies and procedures.

  • Excellent communicating and influencing skills, with the ability to negotiate, collaborate and influence.
  • Experience of managing multiple internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrable credibility and a network of contacts in your area of expertise.
  • Deep knowledge of learning and design/delivery principles, theory and practice.
  • Project or change management certification and experience in leading and implementing complex business change solutions.
  • Extensive awareness of the activities of the organisation and competitor schools.
  • Proven financial management skills and commercial acumen.
  • Projects/programmes delivered on time, on budget and to quality standards.

London Business School supports Smart Working with a hybrid approach. All roles require a minimum of two days on campus each week. For this role, you will be expected to be on campus at least 2 days per week with flexibility based on business needs.

We operate with core hours 10:00–15:00 to maximise connection and collaboration. Outside of these hours, meetings or collaboration may be required. We also offer Protected Time within the working week for learning, development, wellbeing or focused work.
