Role description: We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Associate Project Manager to join our Water team, playing a pivotal role in supporting Capital Programmes in the Water Industry. This opportunity involves working closely with a large multi-disciplinary team on a flagship water infrastructure project, on the client site. From civil and mechanical to electrical engineering, this project offers a diverse range of challenges and opportunities. Role accountabilities
- Lead a multidisciplinary team, managing people to deliver outputs and standards of delivery; mentor, coach and develop colleagues to achieve project objectives and continuous improvement.
- Monitor and review the performance and behaviour of all team members, ensuring compliance with Arcadis’ risk and compliance policy and codes of conduct.
- Assure compliance with contracts in terms of project delivery parameters and scope of service.
- Analyse and compile complex data and documents; review and assess analysis and provide advice and recommendations to contribute to project decision-making.
- Develop processes and review policies for own project, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives.
- Manage relationships with key internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for improved efficiencies and collaboration across projects, ensuring client satisfaction.
- Act as a technical expert within the project, providing subject matter advice to colleagues to support delivery of project objectives.
- Manage relationships with clients and third-party contractors to keep all parties informed of progress and expectations.
- Establish and promote a health, safety and environmental culture, including opportunities to continuously improve.
- Embrace digital and sustainable solutions in day-to-day project delivery.
- Work with pursuits team to identify and pursue new project opportunities with new and existing clients.
Qualifications & Experience
- Relevant project management experience including leading teams.
- Experience delivering portfolios of programmes or projects, ideally in the water sector.
- Relevant professional qualification or chartered status.
- Subject matter expertise in own discipline.
- Commercial acumen and the ability to manage relationships with and influence external stakeholders.
- Experience of leading and implementing complex business change solutions.
- Experience in managing business relationships at senior-management level.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with a focus on client relationship management.
- Experience in leading a Health and Safety performance culture within construction projects.
Other requirements
- Line management responsibilities, assisting and developing yourself and other team members to their full potential.
- Driving license.
