Associate Global Specialist (Multinational Insurance) – Global Programme Renewals and Local Programme responsibilities within Willis Towers Watson (WTW).

Responsibilities

  • Create and agree the annual service plan for each International Client
  • Formulate and agree the renewal data gathering strategy and timeline
  • Provide input into strategy meetings with clients, brokers and insurers
  • Work with insurers and broking teams to establish local and master policy requirements (limits, cover, nuances, where local policies are to be issued etc.)
  • Work with insurers to identify local nuances such as tariffs, wording restrictions, local retentions etc.
  • Agree or install KPIs with insurer regarding local policy and certificate issuance, together with premiums collections and cashflow; review post renewal as part of stewardship meetings
  • Input or production of premium allocations to ensure they are benchmarked with local norms, comply with local tariffs etc.
  • Agree network fees
  • Communicate group programme to broker network and local client operations (where required)
  • Manage insurers administrations of local policies including timely instructions to local fronting companies, status communication to client, monitor issuance speed of local policies and invoices
  • Attend meetings with local brokers and clients on local and global insurance issues

Local Programme

  • Communication of group risk purchasing philosophy to local brokers and local client companies (where appropriate)
  • Produce Analysis Report of local policy summaries to ensure:
    • compulsory covers are purchased
    • no duplications with global programme
    • local policies dovetail with global programme
    • adherence to group risk purchasing philosophy
    • compliance with remuneration parameters
  • Work with client and local broker to maximize WTW Global Network appointments on local lines
  • Agree and manage local broker service requirements with client

Qualifications

  • Preferably educated to A levels with at least 2 years of relevant industry experience
  • Preferably with professional qualifications of ACII or working towards this

Skills

  • Intermediate level IT skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of insurance and underwriting in order to deal effectively with client needs
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships with new and existing clients and insurers
  • Able to deal professionally with internal and external contacts, able to represent BU and the wider Willis Group with a high level of credibility
  • Excellent client focus with proven experience of delivery of high levels of client service
  • Ability to analyze situations and provide recommendations to identify optimum solutions
  • Good understanding of the processes that support the operating model and strategy for the BU and Willis GB
  • Experience of working with and adhering to processes and systems that support client service delivery
  • Intermediate level of data analysis and presentation skills
