Overview


As an Associate / Graduate Building Surveyor you'll be part of the Retail Property Team supporting our Ladbrokes and Coral retail estate. Reporting to our Senior Property Compliance Manager, you will ensure the documentation, evaluation and monitoring of the company’s statutory compliance obligations in relation to the management & maintenance of our Retail Shops and Retail Facing Office estate. The estate comprises over 2,400 retail shops, offering exposure to multiple work streams and opportunities.



What You Will Do



  • Assisting the property department in ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety (estates related) Regulations including Asbestos, Electrical and CDM.

  • Acting as Project Manager for large scale Maintenance works, complex Schedules of Dilapidations, Fire Risk Assessment works as well as Structural Survey and PPM remedial roll-out programmes.

  • Working alongside key internal and external stakeholders to ensure all projects are delivered on time and to budget.

  • Managing Interim and Terminal dilapidations claims from receipt of schedule to resolution, liaising with all internal stakeholders across the department and including delivery of programmes of work where appropriate.

  • Providing technical advice on building defects across the estate ensuring that issues becoming apparent are dealt with in a timely, safe and commercial manner.



Qualifications / Specialist skills and experience



  • Strong technical skills

  • Building Surveying degree and MRICS / MCIOB qualified or working towards APC

  • Experience in general building surveying with a focus on project management

  • Understanding of property / maintenance compliance requirements including CDM, Asbestos, Legionella, Electrical & Gas Safety

  • Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and FM related systems), and strong presentation, written and verbal communication skills

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail

  • Experience representing and communicating with the business at all levels
