Associate Structural Engineer (Building Structures)

Your Role

  • Lead the structural design of projects using Eurocodes and British Standards.
  • Oversee design delivery using tools such as TEKLA, TEDDS, and ROBOT.
  • Carry out structural inspections and condition surveys of existing buildings.
  • Produce high-quality technical reports, defect analysis, and feasibility assessments.
  • Manage client relationships, project timelines, and resource planning.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers, encouraging their professional development.
  • Represent the business in meetings, tenders, and design presentations.

What We’re Looking For

  • Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering, ideally with Chartered status (IStructE or ICE).
  • Proven experience in delivering building structures projects from concept to completion.
  • Strong experience in structural surveys, inspections, and technical report writing.
  • Proficiency in structural design software and sound knowledge of engineering principles.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills.
  • A proactive, solution-focused approach with a commitment to high-quality work.
