Who You Are

We are seeking a professional with:

• 12+ years’ experience in transport planning, with leadership aspirations to grow and manage a team.
• A proven record in business development, managing multiple projects, and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong report writing skills, with experience in Transport Notes, Statements, Assessments, and Travel Plans.
• Knowledge of local and national transport policies, expert witness experience, and familiarity with planning appeals.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
• Membership in a professional institution such as CIHT, IHE, TPS; preferably chartered via TPP or CMILT.
• Knowledge of sustainable travel innovations, DfT Webtag, and microsimulation modelling tools like VISSIM or PARAMICS.
• Proficiency in junction capacity modelling software, AutoCAD, GIS software, and other industry-standard tools.

You will lead the expansion of Rodgers Leask’s Nottingham Transport Planning Team, working in a collaborative environment with support from senior leaders. The role is based in Nottingham city centre with access to amenities and transport options.
