Where you’ll work:

Depending on the needs of your business area, we expect hub-based people to be in the office at least once a week, and to attend OVO Connection events in person.

You’ll be assigned to the closest of our three hub offices: Bristol, Glasgow, or London, unless your role requires field-based work. Each hub offers accessible spaces to park your laptop, designed to inspire, connect, and foster big ideas.

This role in a nutshell:

Our digital experience must be safe and resilient against cyber threats. As our company scales, our processes and platforms need to keep pace. You will lead projects to implement controls and automate responses to security issues, taking ownership of challenging tasks.

Your key outcomes will be:

• Enhance security across OVO’s systems through control implementation, monitoring, and management.
• Utilize security tools and processes to reduce risks and improve compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with teams to identify, document, and respond to security gaps.

Systems:

• Mobile Device Management (e.g., Intune, Mosyle)
• Cloud & SaaS platform security monitoring
• Identity and Access Management platforms (Google Workspace, Entra ID)
• Endpoint Detection and Response, SIEM
• Vulnerability and Patching Management
• Bug Bounty Platforms
• Issue and Project Tracking (Jira)
• Cyber Asset and Attack Surface Management Platforms

Ideal candidate:

• Challenger: Analytical mindset, systems thinking, good judgment, and learning from mistakes.
• Creator: Experience in risk assessment, problem-solving, and security tools, with innovative thinking.
• Communicator and coach: Clear, effective communication, ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.

What’s in it for you:
