We’re recruiting on behalf of a highly respected and long-established accountancy practice for an Audit Assistant Manager to join their London team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced audit professional looking to take on greater responsibility, lead assignments, and work closely with a diverse portfolio of clients in a supportive and professional environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading and managing audits for a portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and deadlines
• Supervising and mentoring junior staff, providing guidance and reviewing their work
• Preparing and reviewing financial statements under UK GAAP (FRS 102)
• Liaising directly with clients, resolving queries and providing proactive advice
• Managing budgets and timelines to ensure audit assignments are delivered efficiently and effectively
• Assisting with staff training and contributing to the professional development of the audit team
• Supporting Partners and Managers on ad-hoc advisory projects as needed

About You

• Significant audit experience within a UK accountancy practice (ideally at Senior or Assistant Manager level)
• Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS 102, and auditing standards
• Proven experience supervising and developing junior staff
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building effective client relationships
• A commitment to continuous professional development and a forward-thinking approach
