Overview


To provide an independent audit service to assess standards of functions within the Facilities Directorate, providing assurance that standards are met and maintained and all relevant rectifications identified are addressed within the specific rectification timeframes. Auditors will specifically focus on cleanliness initially, with other services requiring audit to be developed within the next twelve months. Audits will monitor performance and standards, ensuring they are as stipulated within relevant legislation, national standards & guidance such as the National Standards for Healthcare Cleanliness.


Responsibilities



  • Working as part of a team of auditors, reporting to the Facilities Audit lead, you will be responsible for undertaking weekly audits.

  • Produce rectification reports and liaise with Facilities, Clinical teams and Estates colleagues to ensure reported failure actions are undertaken.

  • Ensure that appropriate paperwork is completed following an audit, such as provision of a star rating to wards & departments for cleanliness audits.

  • Develop good working relationships with Facilities Supervisors and Clinical and Estates colleagues, ensuring verbal feedback is provided following audits.
