Our client, a leading UK accountancy firm and member of a major international network, is looking to appoint a Technical & Compliance Manager (or Assistant Manager) to join their central support team. This is a high-profile role focused on maintaining audit quality and technical compliance across the firm.

You will work closely with partners and staff to provide technical guidance on complex audit and regulatory issues. Responsibilities include reviewing audit reports (including for PIEs), responding to technical queries, updating audit methodology, developing guidance, and leading training on regulatory developments and audit standards.

This role offers a balance of technical challenge, influence, and visibility across the business. It’s an ideal move for someone currently in practice or in a technical team, looking to specialise further in audit methodology, quality, and compliance.

Key Requirements:

• ACA/ACCA qualified (minimum 1 year PQE for Assistant Manager / 3+ years for Manager)
• Solid technical understanding of UK auditing standards, Companies Act, ethical standards, and UK GAAP / IFRS
• Background in audit practice or an existing technical position
• Skilled in drafting technical content, presenting training, and advising senior stakeholders
• Excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills
