Audit Transformation - Senior Manager at PwC UK. The Audit Transformation (AT) team focuses on transforming how we Audit as a firm, supporting key Audit infrastructure (Aura, Halo, Smart Budget) and new projects such as Connected Development, Next Generation Audit (NGA), and BtAC. The team aims to improve quality of delivery, reduce the cost of delivery, and evolve the working experience for partners and staff with a focus on Making Quality Easier (MQE).
Responsibilities
- Work with the business and key stakeholders to shape the Audit Delivery Model, ensuring it is scalable, sustainable, and meets evolving opportunities and challenges.
- Scope, drive and project manage individual transformation projects, including identifying success measures and MI requirements.
- Collaborate with the implementation team during scoping, piloting, and rollout of projects.
- Use analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, and strategic thinking to identify opportunities and propose solutions.
- Respond in an agile way to changing priorities, thriving in a dynamic environment.
- Build networks across the UK and Global Audit business and supporting functions.
- Develop influencing skills to gain consensus and drive approval of change proposals.
- Project manage and drive change in a fast-paced environment.
- Enhance problem-solving capabilities to address complex business problems.
- Drive and support business implementation and change management efforts.

Job Description / Opportunities
- Senior Managers will lead multiple change projects across AT and the wider audit practice.
- Be at the forefront of strategic pillars including Making Quality Easier, NGA, and Remote Team Model expansion.
- Gain exposure to senior leadership within Audit.
- Utilise existing skills and build transferrable new ones beyond traditional front-line delivery roles.
- Lead a multi-location team and manage relationships to deliver high-quality work.
- Collaborate with a diverse range of specialists and expand networks across the UK firm.
- Work flexibly from a base location anywhere in the UK.
Ongoing Projects (examples)
- Remote Team Model (RTM) expansion: lead the rollout of overseas teams, coordinate with UK Audit Leadership, AT RTM PMO, and local territories; regular international travel with visa considerations for Europe, India, and the Middle East.
- Making Quality Easier (MQE): simplify methodology execution, work with ADMs, BtAC, and digital tools to support audit delivery.
- Next Generation Audit (NGA): work in a global team to deliver a multi-year program for a new audit ecosystem, focusing on accelerated innovation, scalability, quality, productivity, and experiences for people and clients.
Successful Candidates Will Have / Be
- Established Senior Manager with leadership experience, including delegating, motivating, coaching, and upskilling junior team members.
- Chartered Accountant / ACA / ACCA / ICAS qualification or international equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of PwC Audit methodology and processes; awareness of or experience with UK financial statement audits.
- Ability to translate technical subject matter into clear, practical material for end users.
- Strong end-user perspective to shape implementation and communications strategy.
- Dynamic, agile, and able to adapt to shifting priorities; able to work under pressure with evolving priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including in hybrid environments.
- Creative and innovative thinking to challenge traditional approaches.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills; high attention to detail and quality.
- Interest in supporting and driving organizational change and developing new skills to drive transformation.
This role offers flexible working. The RTM project involves regular international travel. The position is initially a 12-month secondment, with potential for extension.
