Location: Hybrid x2 days a week on site in Paddington
Salary/Rate: £290 Per day Inside IR35
Start Date: July / August 2025
Job Type: 6-Month Contract

We are seeking Automation Test Engineers with strong expertise in Cypress and JavaScript, who can work independently and collaboratively within Agile teams. The ideal candidates will play a key role in ensuring product quality across web and API layers, integrating seamlessly into DevOps pipelines, and driving continuous improvement in testing practices.


Job Responsibilities/Objectives

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress and JavaScript

Execute cross-browser testing using tools like BrowserStack or LambdaTest
Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines (preferably GitLab)
Collaborate closely with development and QA teams in Agile/Scrum environments
Use tools like Jira, XRAY, and Confluence for test management and documentation
Develop and maintain API test scripts using Postman or Ready API
Conduct Accessibility Testing (WCAG 2.1 compliance) using industry-standard tools
Identify, document, and track defects, and support the development team in issue resolution
Provide insights to improve test strategy and QA process


Required Skills/Experience

Experience with writing automation scripts in Postman or Ready API

Accessibility Testing (WCAG 2.1) experience using any industry standard tool set


Strong experience in managing Cypress Automation, JavaScript

Experience in cross-browser testing (BrowserStack / LambdaTest)

Proficiency in integrating automation tests with CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitLab

Strong Agile/DevOps ways of working with good communication, and can work directly with the client

Experience with test management tools such as Jira, XRAY, and Confluence

In-depth knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills



Desirable Skills/Experience

Understanding of secure coding practices and security awareness
Telecom domain experience
