Automation Test Lead – Python | Edinburgh (Hybrid, 2 Days Onsite)

Are you a seasoned Python Test Automation expert ready to lead innovation and quality across complex systems? We’re hiring an Automation Test Lead / Architect to design, implement, and lead a high-performance test automation function.

What You’ll Do:

• Architect scalable, reusable, and maintainable test automation frameworks using Python.
• Mentor and lead a talented team of QA engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape test strategies, plans, and execution roadmaps.
• Champion automation best practices and ensure excellence in delivery and code quality.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide visibility, and manage expectations.
• Identify gaps in current testing processes and implement strategies for efficiency and coverage.
• Drive timely and successful completion of testing milestones.

What You Bring:

• 10+ years of experience in software testing, with a core focus on Python automation.
• Proven success in building test automation frameworks from scratch.
• Hands-on expertise with:
• PyTest
• Selenium
• REST API testing
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and SDLC processes.
• Leadership capabilities with a track record of mentoring QA teams.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and expectation management.
• Proactive, self-driven mindset with ownership of quality initiatives.
