Our SAIL practice seeks an experienced AWS Cloud Security Engineer. What you will be doing You will be using your experience to help build and maintain internal and client solutions, supporting the growth of the team, and potentially shaping the direction of the practice. Depending on the level, you may be part of the leadership team, growing the business and leading people. Key Responsibilities

DevSecOps

Security Focused DevOps: Hardening of environments and ensuring policies are planned and enforced. Security Best Practices: Implement and advocate for security best practices in all aspects of development and deployment lifecycle. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with industry standards and manage risks associated with cloud deployments.

DevOps

CI/CD Systems: Design, architect, develop, deploy, and evolve CI/CD systems to help our clients transition to cloud-based data analytics platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and leverage modern architecture patterns. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Write and maintain IaC and automate application deployment using industry-standard tools and services.

Architecture

Requirements Gathering: Translate business requirements into simplified solutions, ensuring compliance with organisational strategy, policies and standards. Solution Design: Create high-level designs and architectures that deliver on project needs.

Your Skills and Experience We’re looking for experienced engineers who can support and bridge the gap between developers and consultancy teams in solving complex client challenges and bringing solutions to life.

3+ years of hands‑on delivery of Security Engineering, DevOps, DevSecOps and Cloud Security. Ability to architect modern cloud solutions that are robust, scalable and simple. Hands‑on experience with deployment pipelines, IaC and cloud security. Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, JavaScript, etc.). Experience designing and adopting AWS security tools such as Macie, Security Hub, AppConfig, IAM Analyzer. Experience owning AWS Landing Zones, logging, audit. Influence and apply AWS Foundational Security best Practices, CIS AWS Foundations benchmark, NIST, PCI DSS. Certifications (or willingness to obtain): AWS Professional Solutions Architect, AWS Specialty Security, HashiCorp Terraform Associate, CISSP, CCSP.
