Role Overview

As an AWS Solution Architect, you will play a key role in leading teams to design, build, and deliver secure, scalable, and cost-efficient AWS-based solutions. You’ll work closely with client stakeholders to understand business needs, shape cloud strategy, and oversee delivery, while also providing technical leadership and mentoring to colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of AWS cloud architectures, ensuring alignment with client requirements and best practices.
  • Translate business challenges into scalable, secure, and high-performing technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders to shape cloud strategies and roadmaps.
  • Oversee the build and migration of applications and infrastructure to AWS.
  • Provide thought leadership, technical governance, and mentoring within delivery teams.
  • Stay up to date with the latest AWS technologies and help clients maximise value from cloud adoption.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven background in AWS solution architecture, ideally in a consulting or client-facing role.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS services including compute, networking, storage, and security.
  • Hands-on expertise with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD tools.
  • Experience designing and implementing containerised solutions (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS/EKS).
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • AWS certifications at Professional level highly desirable.
