Overview

DXC are looking for an experienced Azure Architect to lead the design and delivery of secure, scalable, and resilient cloud solutions for UK government clients. Key Responsibilities

  • Implement Azure governance frameworks including Azure Policy and RBAC.
  • Design secure architectures integrating Entra ID, Key Vault, Managed Identities and network security controls (NSGs, ASGs, Private Link).
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to government clients, lead architecture workshops and provide mentoring to junior architects.
  • Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) adoption using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates, support CI/CD pipelines and advocate cloud-native practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Azure Architect, ideally within a consulting or IT services environment.
  • Extensive hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure services.
  • Deep understanding of Azure security, networking, and hybrid connectivity.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud governance, FinOps, and automation frameworks.
  • Eligible for SC (Security Check) or higher UK government security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
  • Familiarity with government assurance frameworks (ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus, NIST).
  • Experience in DevOps, IaC, and containerisation.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
