You’ll be part of the Run & Operate Chapter, working within the DevSecOps Squad — a group responsible for the infrastructure and tooling that powers Tesco Mobile’s engineering systems.While your focus will be Azure cloud security, you’ll also collaborate with DevOps engineers, automation specialists, and platform experts to ensure our environments are secure, resilient, and future-ready.We will be looking for you to lead efforts to secure our cloud infrastructure, improve visibility through logging and SIEM, and embed security into our development lifecycle.
ResponsibilitiesDefine and evolve Azure infrastructure security standardsAct as an authority in cloud securityCollaborate with development teams to enhance logging and observabilityValidate infrastructure changes against security guidelinesWork with the Cyber Security Team to align on strategy and complianceAdvocate for security improvements with clear, business-focused communicationSupport DevOps initiatives including CI/CD pipeline security and automationEssential skills & experienceProven experience in cloud security operations (Azure)Strong understanding of Azure Security Hub and posture management toolsAutomation skills using PowerShell or Azure CLIInfrastructure as Code experience (Terraform)Experience with SIEM tools and log managementCI/CD pipeline security integrationSAST and secure coding practicesA collaborative attitude and eagerness to learnBonus skillsExposure to AWS environmentsGitHub & GitHub ActionsSplunk (data streams, dashboards, ingestion)Python, AWS CLI, and other automation toolsDocker and KubernetesAbout Tesco Mobile and cultureWe are a 50-50 joint venture between Tesco and VMO2 that was established back in 2003.
