Azure Platform Engineer – Manchester, England, United KingdomSoftcat is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Azure Platform Engineer to join our IT Operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Azure infrastructure solutions to support Softcat's cloud computing needs. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Azure services, strong problem-solving abilities, and a proven track record of implementing robust and scalable infrastructure solutions.ResponsibilitiesDesigning, deploying, and managing Azure infrastructure solutions, ensuring they meet organisational requirements and industry best practices.Implementing and maintaining Azure Virtual Networks, VMs, Storage Accounts, and other related services.Developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and Terraform code in Azure DevOps.Managing the promotion of platform changes through environments as per SDLC.Keeping up to date with the latest developments in Azure and acting on anything relevant.We’d love you to haveProven experience as an Azure Platform Engineer or similar role.Hands-on experience with Azure services, including Virtual Machines, Azure Active Directory, Azure Networking, and Storage.Ability to deploy Azure resources via the portal and Terraform.Working style and flexibilityHybrid working – 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home.Working flexible hours – flexing the times you start and finish during the day.Flexibility around school pick up and drop offs.We recognise that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone.
