Backend Software Engineer / Developer London onsite to £180k+

Are you a technologist Backend Software Engineer with strong Python coding experience and a record of academic achievement?

You could be progressing your career working on complex and challenging systems at a Hedge Fund with over $17 billion under management.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team of technologists and finance professionals to develop algorithmic trading systems.
• Work with a modern tech stack and take on technical ownership from day one.
• Partner with Quant teams to architect valuation, risk and pricing systems, delivering massively scalable, high-performance streaming compute operations.
• Learn from industry experts in world finance and utilize the latest kit provided to succeed.

Location

London (Soho) — full-time office based (Monday to Friday). Offices offer facilities including nutritionally balanced breakfast, lunch, and all-day snacks.

About You

• You have an outstanding record of academic achievement – minimum 2.1 in a STEM discipline from a top-tier university, backed by A grades at A-level.
• You have strong commercial experience with advanced Python programming skills.
• You have a strong knowledge of SQL databases.
• You have a thorough understanding of Computer Science fundamentals such as OOP, Data Structures, Design Patterns, and Algorithms.
• You are entrepreneurial with good business acumen, keen to take ownership and lead projects.
• You are collaborative, enjoy problem solving and sharing ideas.
