Responsibilities

  • Manage a clinical caseload and deliver community clinics across Birmingham.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including specialist dietitians.
  • Develop innovative psychological interventions, supporting individual and group pathways, complementing the group education pathway.
  • Lead on research, audits, and service evaluations to inform best practice and continuous improvement.
  • Drive service development by influencing policy and clinical approaches.
  • Take on leadership responsibilities, including supervision and staff training.
  • Implement a range of psychological interventions for individuals, carers, families and groups, refining psychological formulations drawing upon different explanatory models and maintaining provisional hypotheses.
  • Evaluate and make skilled decisions about treatment options considering theoretical and therapeutic models and complex factors shaping individuals, families or groups.
