Position

Opportunities have arisen for Bank Physiotherapists within NHS Ayrshire & Arran.

Please note: You will only be considered for this post if you are in the same role in your substantive post and are leaving the Physiotherapy Department within NHS Ayrshire & Arran. You will be appointed on the bank on the same band as your current substantive post if you are in a Physiotherapist Role.

You should apply for this post within 1 month prior to your termination date. If you have already terminated your post, we will only consider your application if your termination date was within the last month of your application.

What you will do:

In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, the Physiotherapist will be accountable for the assessment, development, implementation, and evaluation of programs of care for a defined caseload of patients. They will work within the professional standards of the Health and Care Professions Council and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy. The Physiotherapist will ensure safe working practices, working within their recognized Scope of Practice. Depending on competencies, the bank Physiotherapist may work in hospital, outpatient, or community settings.

The physiotherapist will work with the Team Lead or other senior team members, guided by protocols, procedures, and guidelines, making decisions based on evidence and supporting the physiotherapy team to provide safe and effective care.

They may supervise and advise less experienced staff and contribute to teaching and learning programs within the team.

Opportunities for further education and developing interests to support the department may be available. Applicants must have current HCPC registration or be in the process of obtaining it.

Car availability and a valid UK driving license are required for community work or in the process of obtaining them.
