Responsibilities

  • Provide credit evaluation reports for various credit products, including an overview of transactions, financial and non-financial risk analysis, key risks identified, associated mitigations (if any), and credit recommendations (including suggested credit enhancements and management conditions).
  • Assist with the implementation of credit risk appetite, credit policies and procedures, and management processes once established. Ensure credit transactions comply with credit policies.
  • Focus on NBFI business and may cover other sectors based on proposals from Front Office.
  • Provide challenges and guidance to Front Office proposals; Draft and present credit opinions to the Credit Committee with an objective and independent view, in accordance with Bank policies. Achieve timely turnaround of credit proposals and reviews.
  • Provide the Head of CRD and DGM (Credit) as well as the Credit Committee with professional risk analysis and appropriate risk mitigation measures in a timely manner.
  • Conduct post-lending management: monitor credit ceilings and exposures, monitor borrower financial performance against market/industry dynamics, and ensure conditions are met throughout the loan life.
  • Perform credit reviews and research for all new proposals and annually for existing customers.
  • Proactively monitor industry and sector trends and counterparty risks for early warning signals.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in credit review within the NBFI sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of risks and mitigations across industries, countries, and client types; strong financial analysis, projections, and stress testing skills.
  • Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Collaborative yet able to work independently and complete tasks.
