Hours: 35 hours, full time

Working pattern: Hybrid – at least two days per week or 40% of time at an office site

About this opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to bring your experience to a finance business partner role to support and drive forward Business & Commercial Banking (BCB) and Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) business. BCB serves the financial needs of small and medium sized businesses and CIB serves the needs of large clients who have a strong link to the UK, both driven by the Group’s purpose of Helping Britain Propose and ensuring Sustainability and Strategic objectives are delivered. The CB portfolio Business partnering team sits within the wider CB Finance Business partnering community of c.40 Finance Business partners.

What will I be doing?

  • Build trusted relationships across business and finance
  • Build and lead regular and ad‑hoc financial performance updates, interpreting financials and challenging the business
  • Support the business in making strategic decisions around pricing, proposition and investment
  • Learn in depth about the products we offer across BCB & CIB, showing curiosity to understand performance and build new analysis to help drive this forward
  • Forecasting and planning to help set the direction of the business, providing challenge to ensure we meet our financial commitments
  • Collaborate with the wider FBP community to support the BCB Growth Forum and CIB Finance Resource Meeting
  • Build an in‑depth knowledge of how a bank makes money, including income, costs, capital and funding & liquidity, providing expert advice to the business

What You’ll Need

  • An ability to build trusted relationships with a variety of people and teams and work with those teams to support our purpose and goals

  • Experience of working within a similar team or business area is desirable, and a finance qualification
