This is a permanent, hybrid role based in Swindon with a requirement to be in the office 2-3 days a week.

About the role

As Lead Delivery Manager - BCP and Crisis Management, you’ll be responsible for safeguarding the stability and continuity of the organisation. You will develop and implement strategies to manage operational risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain business continuity plans. The role also involves engaging with stakeholders, promoting a culture of resilience, and continuously improving the organisation's resilience capabilities. You will manage and partner with the Business Continuity & Group Incident Manager to deliver actions from the consultant-led discovery.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver actions from consultant-led discovery and improvement projects to enhance the organisation’s business continuity, crisis management framework, tools and processes.
  • Coordinate the implementation of crisis and incident response plans across the organisation.
  • Facilitate crisis simulations, exercises and post-incident reviews to test and refine readiness.
  • Work with stakeholders to embed clear escalation protocols and communication plans.
  • Track, monitor and report on delivery milestones, risks and benefits to senior management.
  • Ensure alignment of crisis management initiatives with Business Continuity Planning and Operational Resilience programmes.
  • Identify and map business-critical processes.
  • Review and revise current IBS methodology.
  • Lead efforts to continuously improve the organisation’s operational resilience capabilities, including adopting new technologies and best practices.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Experience delivering crisis management, business continuity or operational resilience initiatives within a complex, multi-stakeholder organisation (financial services experience preferred).
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., FCA/PRA expectations in the UK).
  • Preferably a recognised professional qualification in Business Continuity or Crisis Management.
  • Proven experience in operational resilience or risk management, ideally within financial services or regulated environments.
  • Proven people management skills with leadership ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • In-depth understanding of regulations and standards related to operational resilience in financial services.
  • Experience leading cross-functional resilience initiatives at group level.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage senior management, regulators and other stakeholders.
  • Practical understanding of operational resilience principles and regulatory expectations, plus familiarity with technologies and tools used in resilience, risk management and business continuity planning.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with time-bound delivery focus.

Salary and benefits

  • Salary – Up to £70,000
  • On-target bonus – 10%
  • Pension – contribute up to 5% of salary and Openwork will match with an additional 5%
