We have an exciting opportunity for a Benefits Officer to join us!
This is a full-time, permanent role with flexible working conditions and hybrid working (dependent upon experience), offering a salary of £28,193 to £32,104 per annum.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Benefits Officer to join our team.
The Role
As part of the Revenues and Benefits Service, you will play a key role in providing high-quality services to residents requiring financial assistance with rental liabilities and/or Council Tax.
Your Responsibilities
- Processing Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support accurately and efficiently using the Capita Academy processing system and Civica document management system.
- Managing applications for discretionary housing payments.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven skills and experience in a customer-facing environment with the ability to meet demanding performance targets.
- Knowledge of Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to manage your workload effectively.
- Ability to work accurately under tight deadlines, independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to stay updated with relevant legislative changes.
- Conscientious attitude with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
- Enthusiastic about delivering excellent results.
- Flexible approach to accommodate changing priorities.
