Looking for a high-impact project management role that helps shape the future of public transport?
We’re looking for a skilled and organised Project Manager to join our Business Development team. In this vital role, you’ll coordinate our tender submissions from end to end, helping Stagecoach win new contracts, deliver innovative transport solutions, and serve communities across the UK. This is your chance to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your planning and leadership skills really matter.
What you’ll be doing:
- Overseeing the full tender process across multiple bids, ensuring we meet all deadlines and client requirements
- Developing and managing detailed project plans, action trackers, and timelines
- Coordinating internal teams and subject matter experts to deliver high-quality bid responses
- Managing risk registers and keeping stakeholders aligned and informed
- Owning client clarification messaging and bid portal submissions
- Tracking progress, identifying roadblocks, and supporting continuous improvement
- Reviewing documents for consistency, formatting, and compliance
- Maintaining our internal bid content library and using Salesforce to monitor tender activity and win rates
What we’re looking for:
- A qualified project manager (e.g. PRINCE2, APMP, or equivalent) would be of benefit or experience leading complex bids or multi-stakeholder projects with the commitment to gain a qualification
- Skilled in project management tools, Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and comfortable with digital platforms
- A strong communicator who builds great working relationships across functions
- Detail-oriented, organised, and comfortable working under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Analytical thinker with a structured approach to solving problems and managing risk
- Experience working on transport, public sector, or franchising tenders would be desirable
