About the Team

Lambeth Archives, a small specialist team within Lambeth's Libraries and Archives Service, looks after the historic records of Lambeth Council, the deposited records of hundreds of local organizations and individuals, the borough's local studies collection and a small museum collection.

About the Role

This post is responsible for the day-to-day operations and delivery of a high-quality archive and local history service including delivering major Archives projects and being the main contact for the community as the person responsible at a local level.

Responsibilities and Requirements

  • Advanced computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and statistical analysis/ performance management software
  • Good knowledge of archives, local studies and management
  • Project management and delivery of transformation change
  • Ability to develop the systems and processes required for performance management
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role or environment
  • Experience of financial and budgetary management
  • Experience of working in a customer service environment and implementing and delivering quality standards
  • Experience of working with partners and community organisations
  • Significant experience in this sector
