Carlsberg Britvic is the largest multi-beverage supplier in the UK and is home to some of the most iconic and popular beers & soft drinks, including Carlsberg Danish Pilsner, 1664, Poretti and Brooklyn to ale favourites such as Hobgoblin and Wainwright. For soft drinks, Carlsberg Britvic’s brands include J2O, Robinsons, Tango and London Essence along with the licence rights to the Pepsi portfolio in the UK including Pepsi MAX, 7UP, Lipton Iced Tea and Rockstar Energy. With a strong national footprint, the Carlsberg Britvic business includes 6 production facilities and 16 logistics depot’s servicing customers up and down the UK. About the role: As Brand Manager for Gatorade and other Innovation Brands, you will lead cross functional teams to deliver brand plans and annual operating plan (AOP) for future growth, playing a critical role in accelerating growth for your brands. In this newly created position, you will define the opportunity and role for these brands within the Carlsberg Britvic portfolio.


Role Responsibilities



  • Support the Senior Brand Manager in the development and delivery of the strategic plan, helping to prioritise opportunities for growth on the Gatorade brands.

  • Lead cross functional teams to create commercial strategies for the brands across Off/ On Trade and D2C/ Ecommerce channels.

  • Champion Gatorade brands internally with cross functional teams, including commercial (sales, shopper and category) – also supporting them with external customer meetings and events where needed.

  • Working with our partners at PepsiCo, identifying consumer validated concepts that are both commercially and technically viable.

  • Collaborate with agencies to deliver fantastic activations that engage consumers and shoppers that deliver results across the channel.

  • Maximise ROI using data, analytics and insight to evaluate activity.

  • Ownership of the brand P&L’s, ensuring the budgeted AOP is achieved and continuously tracking the A&P/ Tradex budget in partnership with PepsiCo.


Experience and Key Attributes



  • Brand leadership experience needed working on a large scale brand, preferably in FMCG is desired.

  • Experience with D2C (Direct to Consumer) and or Ecommerce is desirable but not essential.

  • Demonstrable track record of success driving a brand led agenda within commercial, matrix organisations.

  • Creativity in delivering an inspiring and compelling vision and brand strategy.

  • Experience working with creative agencies and managing those relationships.

  • Strong project management, planning and delivery skills with experience of working cross functionally, both internally and externally with 3rd party strategic partners.

  • Understanding of strategic brand and business planning with sound evidence of consumer and shopper insight led strategy implementation.

  • Good level of brand P&L value management experience.

  • Experience of A&P budget control at a brand level.
