Responsibilities
- The role will lead a team of coordinators, ensuring robust support to the Building Safety Compliance team. The Building Safety and Compliance Support Manager will be responsible for delivering all critical supporting aspects required for the technical subject matter experts and specialists with a heightened focus on management of data, data quality and adherence to internal governance.
- The role will liaise with external management companies and obtain safety compliance certification for our customers, ensuring that reporting is fully supported by compliance certification and the utilisation of automation of systems.
- Data accuracy is a key part of this role, checking the technical accuracy of documentation received ensuring that the safety of SNG customers remains a priority.
- The Building Safety and Compliance Support Manager will be responsible for the creation, development and maintenance of documented processes to support the activities being delivered by the team, to ensure adherence to all landlord requirements in relation to building safety compliance aspects; whilst identifying opportunities to reduce manual intervention and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Significant experience in building safety compliance and strong knowledge across all areas.
- Experience of managing teams within building safety compliance.
- Knowledge and understanding of different documentation requirements surrounding gas, electric, fire, asbestos, water and lifts that supports adherence to statutory requirements.
- Ability to work proactively to recognise opportunities of improvement including the embedding of new ways of working within the team and other departments.
- Knowledge of building safety compliance regulations and landlord obligations.
- Experience in promoting data quality management and controls.
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence change.
- Experience in using and interpreting data from interactive data software such as PowerBi.
- Knowledge of methods to monitor the quality of data and identify issues (e.g. reconciliations).
