Building Safety Operations Manager – Lead the Future of Safer Buildings
Location: Flexible with travel across the UK
Are you passionate about high-rise building safety and ready to take the lead in delivering compliance across a diverse residential portfolio? We’re seeking an experienced Building Safety Operations Manager to oversee and deliver a robust building safety programme, ensuring 100% compliance and outstanding service delivery across all qualifying properties.
About the Opportunity
This is a unique chance to step into a senior leadership role where you’ll have full accountability for driving building safety strategy and operational delivery. Working across a large and varied portfolio, you’ll lead a team of specialists in developing safety cases, managing key documentation, engaging with residents, and ensuring ongoing compliance with current legislation.
The Role
Reporting into the Director of Building Safety, your focus will be on leading a team to manage and maintain high-rise building safety programmes for all 18m+ buildings. From reviewing safety case files to overseeing team performance and ensuring financial targets are met, this role offers variety, responsibility, and the opportunity to make a lasting impact.
- Lead a team delivering building safety cases, EWS1 forms, resident engagement strategies, and associated compliance reports.
- Maintain 100% legal compliance in line with the Building Safety Act 2022 and associated secondary legislation.
- Drive team performance through effective leadership, coaching, and ongoing development.
- Manage client relationships, ensuring clarity, responsiveness, and confidence in service delivery.
- Monitor KPIs and SLAs to ensure timely, high-quality outcomes.
- Oversee procurement, supply chain engagement, and financial management of the service area.
- Identify new service opportunities and support wider business growth strategies.
- Strong background in property management, including lease structures and client interface.
- In-depth knowledge of the Building Safety Act and obligations of the Principal Accountable Person.
- Demonstrable line management and project delivery experience.
- Commercial acumen, including P&L oversight and financial forecasting.
- Confident communicator with the ability to lead meetings, deliver reports, and present at senior level.
