Building Services Engineer
Location: Manchester (Hybrid Working Available)
Rate: Up to GBP50 per hour, Inside IR35, subject to experience)
Contract Type: Contract, Full–Time

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for two Building Services Engineers to support a growing pipeline of work across commercial, industrial, and pharmaceutical projects. Based in Manchester with hybrid flexibility, this is a key opportunity for experienced engineers to contribute to the delivery of complex design packages within a large, multi–disciplinary team.

Building Services Engineer Key Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design and coordination of building services packages from concept to delivery
• Produce detailed electrical specifications and calculations using Amtech and other design tools
• Deliver work packages across commercial, pharmaceutical, and industrial sectors
• Collaborate with internal engineering disciplines and client stakeholders
• Ensure technical compliance with British Standards, Building Regulations, and industry best practice
• Support junior staff and contribute to quality standards across the design team
• Maintain project delivery within agreed budget, time, and quality parameters

Building Services Engineer Essential Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' experience in electrical building services design
• Proven track record leading design packages on major projects
• In–depth knowledge of Amtech and other design software
• Strong technical knowledge of the built environment, including commercial or pharmaceutical buildings
• Experience working in a multi–disciplinary environment
• Eligibility to work in the UK without sponsorship
• Willingness and ability to obtain security clearance

Building Services Engineer Desirable

• Chartered or working towards Chartership (IET or CIBSE)
• Experience in client–facing roles and contributing to project strategy
• Familiarity with Revit and other BIM tools
