Job Title: Business Analyst (Data Science and AI)

Location: Cambridge, UK (2 days a week, hybrid)

About the role

Join BSI's DSAI Team as a Business Analyst, where you'll be key to driving technical projects within Group Innovation. You'll work closely with business experts and BSI functions to deliver our innovation portfolio by documenting business needs and ensuring clear understanding between technical teams and the wider business.

Responsibilities

  • Elicit, document, and manage business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Facilitate 'as-is' and 'to-be' process analysis and customer journey definition.
  • Lead stakeholder discussions to resolve requirements and support business case production.
  • Define and challenge project vision, objectives, scope, outcomes, and success criteria.
  • Build relationships to align solutions with business strategy, target operating model, and enterprise architecture.
  • Ensure benefits management, adherence to best practices, and use of appropriate analysis methods.
  • Contribute to methodology improvement and provide input to risk management and project reporting.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure timely and on-budget project delivery.

Qualifications

To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • 2+ years in business analysis.
  • Understanding of business analysis, Data Science/AI, Change Management, and project delivery methods.
  • Business acumen, requirements analysis, objective/goal setting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to challenge, analyze, and problem-solve, with attention to detail.
  • Process mapping, workshop facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to simplify complex ideas and manage benefits.

Ideally, you will also have:

  • Experience with technical teams, enterprise IT systems, data, and organizational change.
  • Business case development skills and relevant qualifications (Business Analysis, Change Management, People Management, BCS, CBAP, PRINCE2, MSP).
  • Initiative, collaboration, creativity, customer focus, critical thinking, trust, openness, and integrity.
