Power Platform Functional Consultant – Hybrid (UK-based with travel to Jersey) | Full-time, Permanent | Competitive Salary + Benefits
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a BA-first Power Platform Functional Consultant to help shape and deliver impactful Microsoft-powered solutions. You’ll be at the centre of a large-scale Government transformation programme, working across discovery, build, testing, release, and adoption phases.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Running workshops and interviews to elicit and refine requirements
- Breaking down epics into development-ready work packages with clear acceptance criteria
- Supporting delivery teams with day-to-day clarification, show-and-tells, and backlog management
- Preparing and coordinating UAT (plans, test scripts, defect triage)
- Creating concise, scenario-based training materials to enable adoption
What Success Looks Like (First 3–6 Months)
- A well-groomed backlog with high-quality, traceable user stories and tests
- ≥90% of items entering development meeting the agreed Definition of Ready
- UAT cycles running smoothly with timely defect triage
- Train-the-trainer materials handed over successfully
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years’ business analysis experience (public sector )
- Strong knowledge of Power Platform (model-driven apps) and/or Dynamics 365 CE
- Confidence using Azure DevOps or Jira/Confluence
- Experience writing acceptance criteria & test cases (ideally BDD/Gherkin)
- Comfort working in a multi-vendor environment
- Awareness of data protection & government delivery controls
- Ability to travel to Jersey for key workshops, UAT & show-and-tells
- Willingness to undertake a Basic DBS check
MUST HAVE SOLID POWER PLATFORM EXPERIENCE AND RIGHT TO WORK IN THE UK - Unfortunately we cannot sponsor visa or relocation from outside the UK.
Desirable: knowledge of government benefits/welfare, case management, Power Pages, SharePoint, accessibility standards, or data migration.
