The Role

You will act as a bridge between the business and technology, ensuring both the commercial rationale and technical requirements of the programme are fully understood, documented, and delivered. This is a hybrid role requiring both business analysis and project management expertise, with a strong grasp of commodities trading – ideally in metals – and hands-on experience of ETRM systems.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading workshops with front office, risk, operations, and IT stakeholders to define requirements and capture the business case.
• Translating business needs into functional and technical specifications for the ETRM system.
• Overseeing delivery milestones, ensuring the programme remains on track and aligned with strategic objectives.
• Acting as a liaison between the consultancy, client, and vendor teams, ensuring clarity and momentum throughout the project lifecycle.
• Providing subject matter expertise on commodity trading processes, with a focus on metals.

Candidate Profile

We are seeking someone with:

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst and/or Project Manager within commodity trading environments.
• Strong understanding of the end-to-end trading lifecycle, with direct exposure to metals trading highly desirable.
• Prior involvement in an ETRM implementation (ideally hands-on through at least one full cycle).
• The ability to balance detail-oriented analysis with high-level programme management.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to influence across front, middle, and back office functions.

This is a hybrid role 3 days in london with a day rate between 700-800/d inside IR35.
