Job description and location

Locations: Edinburgh or Bristol (Hybrid). You will be based in either the Edinburgh or Bristol office for a minimum of three days a week, with the flexibility to work from home for part of your working week.

We are focused on delivering insights and analytics through our product initiatives, including EquatePlus and the EquateMobile App, and providing business solutions and change management for Computershare’s share plans globally.

Role focus

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst (with Reporting) who has a background in reporting and analytics. You will work closely with the Product Manager and development Scrum team to deliver Insights, a data and reporting tool for clients. Insights is a key product initiative to stay ahead of market needs.

You should be passionate about using data to drive actions and be able to present your analysis to both technical and non-technical audiences. You will have a track record of driving change in global organisations, be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and have strong delivery and stakeholder management skills working with business, product, and technology teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively within cross-functional teams, building relationships with internal and external stakeholders to elicit requirements and acceptance criteria to ensure the business objectives and product vision are delivered.
  • Understand complex issues, identify root causes, analyse options, develop recommendations, and deliver solutions to drive business growth.
  • Develop requirements, break down business problems into epics, features, and user stories, and manage through change control.
  • Produce high quality process flows.
  • Present analysis and process reviews to stakeholders and project groups.
  • Facilitate and manage workshops and meetings with business and technology teams.
  • Identify risks and track through to resolution; utilise Jira to manage tasks, provide project status updates, and communicate issues and risks to stakeholders.
  • Support business testing to ensure readiness for change (e.g., UAT, training, documentation).
  • Implement process improvements and system deployments.

What you’ll bring

We are looking for a self-starter who is dynamic and capable of working independently with multiple priorities. You should have proven experience with reporting platforms, data analytics, and visualisation tools, along with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills tailored to different audiences.

Other skills, experience & competencies include:

  • Extensive experience as a business analyst, ideally in a global or financial services environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working within an Agile environment.
  • Product or project experience that shows ability to deliver against a plan.
  • Change Management with a positive, pragmatic, and collaborative approach.
  • Understands Cost / Benefit analysis and financial impact.
