The Team

Our Tech team is a 60+ strong team of curious minds, building the digital experiences that power KFC - from app to kiosk, delivery to checkout. We work cross-functionally, move fast, and stay focused on what matters: creating smart solutions that make things better for our customers and our teams.

About the role

Over the next few years, KFC is embarking on some key technical initiatives across our restaurant and digital space. This will drive a monumental shift in how we provide technical solutions to over 1000 restaurants in the UK and Ireland. We are looking for a highly skilled and adaptable BA to support mapping system and user requirements across a broad range of solutions. This can include but is not exclusive to:

  • Restaurant Technology - New POS system and its integration across the business, including Digital, Financial and Menu system integrations.
  • Menu Design - Definition of products from supply chain, through to recipes in our restaurants and all the systems the touch on their journey from supply to fry.
  • Labour Systems - Integration of new labour tooling systems across the estate, including complex requirements and gap analysis.

A track record of being able to conduct detailed stakeholder mapping of requirements and user stories is critical to this role.

Above all the individuals will need to be highly adaptable and will be expected to engage a broad range of technical and non-technical stakeholders, mapping the best solution out for the business.

What will you spend your time doing?

You will report into the Senior Project Manager for KFC Tech and work within the Restaurant Technology Team. This team's primary responsibility is around growth, scalability, and automation of our Restaurants. However as explained above you will be expected to support the wider Tech function in delivery projects outside of this team

  • Capture and document business requirements related to core projects and change with in our restaurants, taking inputs from operations, finance, marketing, restaurant technology and asset protection teams.
  • Analyse business processes alongside requirements, to look for areas of optimisation/improvement, and validate with key stakeholders.
  • Align user requirements to new systems, noting the need to articulate and discuss these requirements will be across a broad range of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Work with the project manager and solution architect to define, categorise and prioritise feature and change requests, with a view to defining the scope for incremental releases, from pilot to mass deployment.
  • Validate test results against requirements.
  • Be a great communicator to both our internal stakeholders (other head office functions) and Restaurants (including franchisee partners when required) ensuring they are engaged when necessary.
  • Be confident in presenting to a wide range of stakeholders across varying levels of seniority and ensuing content is tailored to be engaging and succinct.
  • Becoming a champion and expert for the project supporting the training team with context, business benefit articulation and support.

What we love from you:

Qualifications in business analysis are required, with any technical qualifications preferred, however applicants with equivalent experience (particularly in EPOS systems or workforce management) and proven track records will also be considered.

  • Business analysis qualification.
  • Minimum 3-years\' experience working as a Business Analyst.
  • Proven track record of working on technology led projects.
  • Exposure to working in a like for like environment across either Hospitality or Retail
  • Clear and concise communicator
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to turn complex concepts into simple language
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
