Overview

Business Applications Manager - report to the CTO - up to £100,000 Salary + Bonus

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the day-to-day management of all business applications.
• Assess the current application estate and establish processes, best practices, and future-proofing of the architecture.
• Collaborate with the CTO to improve application architecture across the organisation; embed other applications and ensure alignment with the wider technology estate.
• Drive vendor management, application strategy, pricing contracts and negotiations (ideally within a PE/finance environment).
• Explore opportunities for modernising and streamlining technologies; consider AI-enhanced capabilities.
• Support a hybrid work environment with on-site days 3-4 per week.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role: vendor management, application strategy, and contract negotiations within a PE firm or financial services environment (or finance).
• Proven ability to lead and own the application estate and collaborate with CTO/technology leadership.
• Experience with defining processes and standards for application governance and architecture.
