Business Development & Account Manager

We’re looking for a confident and capable Business Development & Account Manager to join our growing team at Indico Labs. This is a key role, acting as the link between our customers and our delivery team. Your focus will be to ensure projects run smoothly, client needs are met, and communication is clear on all sides.
About You
You’ll have at least 4 years of experience in Market Research, whether as a researcher, account manager, or business development lead. Some hands-on experience with reporting or charting is a strong advantage. You’ll be comfortable managing client relationships, understanding business needs, and supporting internal teams to deliver efficiently.
This role suits someone who is proactive, commercially aware, and confident managing both new business development and ongoing client accounts.
Your Responsibilities
New Business
- Identify and target potential clients based on the ideal customer profile (ICP)
- Run outbound campaigns using LinkedIn and Apollo
- Respond to inbound enquiries and qualify leads
- Lead discovery calls and coordinate with delivery for feasibility and pricing
- Prepare proposals using Trumpet and manage the sales process through to close
- Maintain and update CRM (HubSpot) with pipeline, deal stages, and notes
- Track key sales metrics and report on performance
- Share insights and feedback with marketing and operations
Account Management
- Lead onboarding for new clients and run follow-up meetings
- Act as the main contact for client accounts (excluding a few legacy accounts)
- Monitor daily client communication (Slack, email, platforms) and respond promptly
- Stay close to client needs through regular check-ins and events
- Track usage, credits, and contracts; manage renewals and upsell opportunities
- Identify risks and share early warnings with internal teams
- Feed client insights into product, marketing, and operations
- Keep CRM, trackers, and OKRs up to date
What We’re Looking For
- 3 to 5 years' experience in sales, account management, or business development
- Background in Market Research is highly desirable
- Proven ability to win new business and manage client accounts
- Strong communication, organisation, and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
What We Offer
- Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 depending on experience and location.
